Cruises
Cruising is a memorable and enjoyable experience. Wake up to a new destination each day, what better way to see a country than by cruising. ANZCRO Pacifica represents a number of different cruise journeys in the South Pacific.
One of the best things about a cruise is the wide variety of activities available. You can do everything from sit on the deck and enjoy the view to more strenuous activities like hiking, scuba diving, or other water sports. Most cruises often feature city tours and other cultural opportunities. Ships dock in the major cities for a day, and passengers go ashore to experience the city.
Many cruise lines' will provide you a list of shore activities offered before you book, either via the Internet or from your travel agent. You normally do not have to decide on the shore activities before you sail, but you may be asked to book the shore excursions not long after embarkation. Some shore excursions have a limited number of slots, so if you absolutely MUST have a particular tour e.g. a helicopter ride over a volcano, or go scuba diving over a South Pacific shipwreck, ask if you can book space in advance.
The activities director will give passenger briefings on the shore excursions available after you get onboard, but I like to have a general idea of what I want to do in each port before I sail.

Why you should book your cruise through a Travel Agent
There are two reasons: price and service. A Travel Agent who specializes in cruises books thousands or even tens of thousands per year. He or she can negotiate discounts far below the best price an individual consumer would pay.
But price is not the best part. When something goes wrong, a Travel Agent has the purchasing power to command better service for you, their customer. Think of it this way. If someone who buys one cruise a year from you complains, do you really care? Probably not. Now, if someone who buys 5,000 cruises a year from you complains, are you going to take care of their problem. Yes, you are. That's exactly what happens. Cruise lines will bend over backwards to correct a problem when a major Travel Agent is involved. As a consumer, if something is not right, you're much better off with a Travel Agent representing you.
Without a Travel Agent your on your Own.
