Wellington City Stay

Day 1. Arrive Wellington. On arrival in New Zealand's capital, be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2. Wellington City & Coastline Tour.  Coach tour including Wellington's must see attractions - The Beehive and Parliament buildings, Old St Paul's Cathedral, Lady Norwood Garden, Mount Victoria.  (B)

Day 3. Kapiti Gold Coast Morning Tour.  Your essential short city escape. Take a half-day to explore the countryside north of Wellington. Drive up the coast to the seaside resort of Plimmerton and then continue on the coastal highway to the Nyco Chocolate Factory to taste gourmet delights, free Kapiti Cheese samples, or try their original homemade ice cream. Head to Southward Vintage Car Museum, where you'll see rarities including Marlene Dietrich's Cadillac and a Chicago gangster's armour-plated limo. Return to Wellington via the Paekariki Hill Summit, for spectacular views of Kapiti Island and the South Island. Enjoy endless rural and coastal views. (B)

Day 4. Walking Gourmet Food Tour.  Explore the very best of Wellington's favourite food places on a leisurely stroll through the café capital. In such a compact city, walking is the perfect way to explore all those little streets and byways only the locals know, as we help you find hidden culinary treasures.  You'll try a little something at many of Wellington's finest specialist gourmet food stores. Uniquely, you'll meet owners, baristas and chefs as we take you behind the scenes with them and share their passion for great food and hospitality. We'll sample seasonal specialities and introduce you to local products. Finally, we relax in a top restaurant or café with a delicious, light, three course tasting lunch with matched New Zealand wines. (B, L)

Day 5. Wellington to your next stop. At leisure before being transferred to the airport. Stay longer if you want. (B)
